Description
This 10,000 square foot Production Barn is designed to evoke the quintessential triple-aisle agrarian barn, and is home to the winery, which includes a covered outdoor crush pad, fermentation and barrel rooms, and winemaking support spaces. This facility is able to produce 10,000 to 15,000 cases per year. The pre-engineered steel building is clad in redwood and has a corrugated steel roof with solar panels and clerestory windows.

Description
This 1886 dairy barn has been an icon in Edna Valley for over 150 years. The conversion of the 5,530 square foot barn to an event space required building code upgrades. Fire sprinklers, structural modifications, emergency lighting, and accessibility were modernized while preserving the architectural character of the space. The filtered light streaming through the vertical board siding provides a dramatic backdrop for interior events up to 300 people. Larger events featuring Edna Valley views can be accommodated on the property.

This new winery production facility features 53,525 square feet of indoor and 25,250 square feet of outdoor winery operations, with a capacity of
±150,000 cases per year. The pre-engineered metal building system allows for clear spans, low maintenance, and efficient insulation assemblies to optimize wine production. Phased expansion and flexibility of spaces were major design considerations with approximately 50,000 square feet of future building expansion potential, allowing another 150,000 cases. All systems have been prepared for modular expansion. High efficiency lighting and environmental control systems are integrated throughout the facility. Additionally, the wine-making process was considered from inception to finished product to streamline adjacencies, circulation patterns, and production flow.

A phased boutique winery with a buildout capacity of 2,500 cases. The winery processing portion of the facility includes 6,265 s.f of interior fermentation and barrel storage and 1,720 s.f of exterior covered crush pad. The 2-story admin and hospitality portion includes winemaking and staff offices on the lower level and a tasting room on the upper level with incredible views of the surrounding vineyard and oak-covered hillsides.
